As of April 20, 2016, Smartcom's international hotel booking service is live. This long-anticipated breakthrough means that Huawei employees can finally book hotels located all around the world on Smartcom.

    One of the key difficulties in overseas business travel is booking international hotels. Differences in language, culture, and environment mean that booking a hotel room is often a lottery. Huawei employees have long had to book their hotel accommodation through the company's local logistics teams, travel agents, hotel or other websites, which can be a long and complex process. To make the whole process easier, Smartcom conducted several rounds of selection and strict certification, and has finally chosen to team up with HRS, a global hotel solutions provider. HRS's 300,000+ high-quality hotels, in over 190 countries and regions, are now accessible on the Smartcom system. Huawei employees all across the globe can now find and book international hotels more quickly and easily, check room availability in real time, and use the system in any one of 32 supported languages.
